Florida-Alabama dominates weekend betting action

If you’re looking for big action in your online sportsbook, look no further than the SEC title game on Saturday, where Florida and Alabama will finally meet in the most anticipated game of the year. There’s a lot to watch during Championship Week on the college football front, but when the top two teams in the country meet, they get top billing.

Florida vs Alabama odds (Saturday, 4:00 PM ET)

The No.1 Gators are 5.5-point favorites, and they’re 4-2 in six SEC title games against the No.2 Crimson Tide, who survived the “Iron Bowl” at Auburn. Florida won last year’s game 31-20 as Tim Tebow led a fourth-quarter comeback.

Oregon State vs Oregon odds (Thursday, 9:00 PM ET)

The online sportsbook action actually kicks off at No.7 Oregon for the 114th edition of the “Civil War”, and this is the first time that the winner is guaranteed to go to the Rose Bowl. This should be a shootout between two great offenses. Oregon State is a 9.5-poinr road underdog.

Texas vs Nebraska odds (Saturday, 8:00 PM ET)

The No.3 Longhorns are 14-point sports betting favorites against the No.22 Cornhuskers, and a win would definitely put Texas in the BCS title game. Colt McCoy is also looking to strengthen his Heisman bid.

Cincinnati vs Pittsburgh odds (Saturday, 12:00 PM ET)

The No.5 Bearcats are 2-point favorites in your online sportsbook, but the No.15 Panthers can steal the Big East title with a win. With all the speculation surrounding Cincinnati coach Brian Kelly and the Notre Dame vacancy, we’ll see how prepared the Bearcats are.

Clemson vs Georgia Tech odds (Saturday, 8:00 PM ET)

This game for the ACC title is a pick’em, as both are coming off disheartening losses against rivals (Clemson at South Carolina, Georgia Tech at home to Georgia), but this will be a game won on the ground as both have great rushing attacks.

Bodog Opens Up Show In Canada

It has a long, arduous year for Bodog but at the end of the year they’ll look back and say it’s a good one.

There was a long scrap over their domain name, which was originally Bodog.com but was then forced to switch to Bodoglife.com, which threw off a lot of their bettors and hurt their traffic. After some court battles, Bodog finally got their homepage back.

Bodog also had some trying times this year with third-party payouts processors, who forced a lot of their players to wait longer than what they wanted to get their payments. Obviously, there were a number of complaints but all is good now that they’ve straightened that out.

Now that the two major hurdles are out of the way, Bodog has finally launched a new site solely for Canadian customers to better segment their customers. Now Canadian customers will be redirected to Bodog.ca and see promotions, contests and content that caters directly to them while the American clients will still be sent to Bodog.com.

For the most part, it’s still the same site but it’s a split that will make the company more versatile in the future. If they want to post information that is solely relevant to one type of player or the other – such as deposit and withdrawal methods – customers from their region will easily be able to see that instead of seeing what is available to everyone, then having to call in.

In the end, it’s an organization move that should help.
